ABOUT ME

I'm Maria, but most people know me as Masha.

I'm a front-end developer based in Massachusetts, USA.
I come from an arts and fitness coaching background and am excited for a start in a different industry. Having completed careerFoundry's Full Stack Web Development program I found myself drawn to the front-end side of the process. It felt like a natural transition, a space to combine new programming skills with pre-existing art and design knowledge.

I love the problem-solving nature of development - it's both humbling and refreshing. There is always a new task to tackle, and it is a constant reminder to look at a problem from a different perspective, try a different path.

When I'm away from the keyboard I spend most of my time either drawing or training Muay Thai. Both are great passions of mine. Both fulfill that need for fresh knowledge that has driven me forward my whole life. Just like programming, I see both as crafts, as something I can spend a lifetime learning and sharpening. And that, in my opinion, is a life well-lived.
